Installation Day
The great day arrives usually after 6-8 weeks after placing an order.

Your Thermaglaze installers will introduce themselves to you and undertake a simple survey/overview of the required works prior to installation.

The old frames will need to be extracted - Thermaglaze installers are trained to remove the most stubborn of existing frames. It is rarely possible to save the old units; they are normally sawn through at various points and then levered and collapsed inwards to minimise damage to external walls or internal plaster.

The new bespoke frames are fitted using very strong, corrosion resistant fixings. The frames must be square, level, true and packed to ensure suitable expansion since some movement can occur. Your Thermaglaze installers will take a great deal of time and trouble to ensure this phase is completed correctly, with the new frames installed and fixed stable and secure.

Glazing - your sealed units will be installed once the frames are securely in position. Your installers will ensure the weighty sealed units are packed and wedged properly to give optimum weight distribution and will use appropriate glazing mallets when inserting the internal glazing beads to secure the glass.

The external perimeter of the frame will be sealed to the existing brickwork/external surface using high-grade, low modulus flexible silicones.

Finishing off - Any disturbance of existing plaster or render will be replaced and left ready for decoration or the fitters can cover with trims if preferred.
