Position & Location

Always give considerable thought to the position ad location of your conservatory and use the following pointers to help you.

  1. Check the chosen position (or aspect) of your conservatory when the sun both rises and sets to ensure your selected location maximises light and heat.
  2. Remember that south-facing conservatories receive more sun than those facing north.
  3. The position of your conservatory can determine which furniture and fittings are recommended.
  4. Consider how your chosen position will affect the ventilation of your conservatory and the type of material used to make the roof. Conservatory roofs are not necessarily made of glass, but a special translucent plastic material known as polycarbonate. This material was developed to provide an inexpensive and easy to install glass alternative with heat insulating properties similar to double glazing.
  5. Ask your Ultraframe Installer about Ultraframe’s Conservaglass which has been engineered to keep the conservatory cool in summer and warm in winter.
