Tilt & Turn Windows
Unique opening and venting system
As the name suggests Tilt & Turn Windows can be operated in two ways. Firstly, the window can “Tilt” by being hinged at the bottom and leaning inwards at the top, this is a great way of providing ventilation whilst maintaining a level of weatherproofing and security. The Second operation is the “Turn” which changes the window to being side hinged, allowing it to be opened fully inwards thus creating a large opening suitable for escape and allows for easy cleaning to the outside.
Often Tilt and Turn windows are specified when large windows are required to open, this is achieved with the advantage of the hinge mechanism coupled with a wrap round locking system. Opening windows as large as 1500mm x 1500mm can be achieved in both UPVc and Aluminium.
