CERTASS

Thermaglaze are fully CERTASS approved for your assurance & total peace of mind.

OUR COVID-19 safety policy

Regular audits on-site and at contractor premises ensure all Certass Certification Scheme member contractors and their procedures meet the requirements of government-endorsed standards.

A technical helpline provides Certass members with instant support and advice on up-to-date building regulations. With a wide range of industry expertise at their fingertips, members always have access to an online manual for instant clarification and technical advice.

1. Before work begins

Your Certass contractor will provide a consumer contract explaining all the work undertaken.

2.After Completion

A written guarantee covers all installation work. Certass contractors must also provide an Insurance-Backed Guarantee covering breaches of building regulations should they cease trading.

3. Registration

Within 21 days of completed work, your Certass contractor will register your installation with Certass.

According to local building regulations, Certass will notify your local authority when the building is finished at your address and, for proof of compliance*, will issue you with a legally required Building Regulation Compliance Certificate.

Certass Certification Scheme membership requires that a contractor must be able to provide customers with:

  • A  guarantee covering the completed installation
  • Financial protection with an Independent Backed Guarantee (IBG) to cover the Building Regulations requirements for 6 years should they cease trading
  • Suitably qualified and assessed site operatives

*Certass carries out random audits according to a percentage of a contractor’s work to ensure it meets the required standards.
